My roadtrip to Texas to see my cousin Katie held more excitement than I have probably EVER experienced in my life, lol.
I had the oppotunity to experience alot of Firsts (things I had yet to do, and always wanted to try...and some I didn't).
I won't fill you in on all the experiences...some things are better left to the imagination lol, but I will share parts of one particular story with you....the story from which the title of this blog is derived.
My cousin Katie, my cousin Daniel, a friend named Rocky and his cousin all went out to this bar/dance hall called Grahams in Longview. After a while, we decided we would all leave and head elsewhere....well, this trip ended up being the most dramatic trip EVER...
While Katie and I were driving her truck and talking, we hear someone coming up behind us in a loud truck...and we could tell they were going wayyy too fast. Turns out, it was Rocky. Rocky ends up hitting the median on the interstate and literally FLYING toward the front of Katie's truck. He hit us and pushed us off the road and then speeds off. Daniel was behind Katie and I and he witnessed this whole event. We found a gas station to pull over in and asses the damage. Somehow, Katie's truck comes out with only a few scratches and a whole lot of rubber from Rocky's tires...
(You see crashes like this all the time on TV, and someone always ends up hurt or dying...yet we are ok...it amazes me still that we are alive)
Katie doesnt want to go home because she knows Rocky will end up there wanting to talk (because he has called and texted and even showed up to the gas station, trying to talk to her, but she was way too angry to listen...and with good reason!)
Well, to make a long story short, we end up at another gas station down the road, and happen to be followed there by 3 cops. This woman was sitting in front of the doors (wearing shape-up shoes) and was shaking and talking to herself...needless to say, she was all kinds of cracked out. We assumed the cops were there to pick her up...............
Not the case.
They were actually after US.
However, the cops took notice of her and she also warned us they were after us...
After having talked with one of the officers about the accident, we were able to leave and finally made it home around 4 am...Rough night lol
There were many more stories from my trip, but I'm gonna keep all those to myself, because this is probably the most exciting, besides my new tattoo! :) Katie and I decided to get matching tattoo's of my favorite Bible verse "Love Never Fails" because it means alot to the both of us...I'm pretty excited!
I had an epiphany today that I have yet to share with anyone yet, so you all will be the first to hear it:
I student teach in the Spring...I think, lol...and after having spent the last four days with my family in Texas, I really want to end up moving there after I graduate. We have discussed it, and I have just about made my mind up about it...dad wont be too pleased with this, but I have always loved East Texas, and wanted to live there...it's calling my name and I just don't think I can deny it much longer. Anyways, on to the point...As I was powerwashing one of the Nurseries at work today, I thought to myself...."Could I possibly convince Dr. Ramsey to let me student teach near Longview??" If I could that would be wonderful! I would be there so much sooner, and might even be able to student teach under Mr. Boyd who is a very well respected ag teacher in the area, and someone close to my family.
Well, that's all for now...I'm sleepy and just got back from the gym, so I think I'm gonna hit the shower and take it easy the rest of the night.
Talk to yall soon :)
